Prayer
Today’s Quote: “My words fly up, my thoughts remain below. Words without thoughts never to heaven go.” Hamlet 3.3.97-98
Last summer I was introduced to a wonderful book, which has been a wonderful asset to my prayer life; “Face To Face”, by Kenneth Boa. It has different prayers everyday for three months (i.e. month 1 day, 1, etc.). It uses scriptures to guide you through a time of prayer and praise to God.
Each daily prayer has the following sections: adoration, confession, renewal, petition, intercession, affirmation, thanksgiving, and a closing prayer. Each section has a scripture passage followed by ideas of how to pray through this section on any given day. Today, under adoration, I read Psalm 34:1-3, and Psalm 94:22. Then I express thoughts of praise and worship. The petition and intercession sections always have different people and nations to pray for and about. It has been a blessing to use this when I pray. I love using scriptures when I pray.
Since the book wasn’t available at my local Christina bookstore, I went online and got a copy through Amazon.com. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It helps give direction and focus to my prayers.

Enjoy the holiday weekend. Spend some of this long weekend in prayer and praise to our awesome, majestic Father God.
